EllaOne and Breastfeeding

Aghhh, I was given Ellaone by a pharmacist today over the counter. I assumed it was fine to breastfeed as they didn't ask any questions at all and the other morning after pill is fine for breastfeeding, so took it but looked at the leaflet this evening and it says you can't breastfeed for a week. I've fed my daughter twice since taking it. What have I done?!! Has anyone else done this? Is it serious??

When I asked for the MAP, breastfeeding my Dr specifically asked me if I were still feeding DD and prescribed Levonelle for that reason. Id call NHS direct they are great for advice, I called after I absent mindedly took Ovex when DD1 developed worms then read on the side not for BF mothers. The nurse I spoke to explained it was not advised and that I shouldn't feed DD for 12 hours, luckily I had enough EBM and pumped and dumped! Bit of a pain.

Hi..can you let pls tell me if there are any side effects after taking ella one. I have done a similar thing of taking it and breastfeeding my baby. Pls help.

Hi, I've done this and DD was fine. I was scared but I think it's just that it hadn't been tested maybe. I was down to feeding only 4 times a day at that point I think though. Maybe give the GP a call tomorrow just to check.

Did anyone manage to find out if its OK, as im struggling to feed my child and now told i can't for up to a week i can't afford formula, i really felt a bond breastfeeding my baby, now after taking ellaone i feel hopeless. Plz anyone who's breastfed and taken it, did it effect the baby?
