Copper coil

I'm having a copper coil fitted next month. I've read all the info about possible side effects and I'm fine with that. However, my DP is, um, quite well endowed (lucky me 😉) and I'm wondering if he will be able to feel the strings... Do I need to warn him??

The strings can be shortened if necessary

The strings are very fine. My DH has never mentioned being able to feel them.

The strings will get soft after a few days. I really don't think he would notice, everytime I have had one put in or go for checks they explain me how to check the strings to make sure the thing is still in place. I have never been able to find them Blush

At the start my dh did get jabbed a couple of times. Then the strings disappeared through my cervix so now I'm dreading getting it removed Shock

Your cervix changes position depending where you are in your menstrual cycle (e.g., it's low during your period and higher during ovulation). My partner was able to feel the coil when my cervix was low but not not normally at other times. Neither of us liked the feeling of him hitting the strings though so we usually changed position if that happened. Perhaps I have a very sensitive cervix though!

I've had mine 4 years and can still feel the strings. My husband also mentions it still Blush
