Condoms keep breaking! Where are we going wrong?

I've given up on microgynon.
Me and DP have decided to use condoms instead.

Problem is, every time we attempt doggy style the condom breaks!
We are using Durex thin feel.

Are we doing something wrong?. Should we use another brand?.

It would be a shame to put a limit on doing some positions due to a bit of latex!

Are you using any lube? Might help

Pop into your nearest family planning clinic and ask for some help, it sounds like maybe you don't quite have the technique of putting them on right, I think that's the most common cause of breakage.

Nurses in the FP clinic can demonstrate and get you to practice on a lovely silicone prosthetic :)

Also, were do you keep them? Sunlight degrades them.

They are in the bedside drawer so no sun light.

I'll get some lube today see if that makes a difference.

DP has been putting them on so far due to my nails being ridiculously long, I'm worried I might nick the condom. I'll try to apply the latex devil tonight.

Are they too small for your OH? If they are a bit tight and over-stretched this could be the problem, you can get larger sizes in some brands.

Of course there are demos online now - how old am I not to have thought of youtube!

One here

The bit about pinching the tip i.e. leaving a little loose bit at the top is also important for avoiding breakage.

Yeah they might be too small bur they seem at first glance to fit ok.

Thanks for the link cat. I should know all this at my age Blush
