Re starting the pill postnatal

My dd2 isn't due until April but already wondering about this. After dd1 was born I restarted microgynon 21 days post delivery on advice from their own instructions and family planning nurse. It was carnage, it completely upped my already unfinished bleeding and it was like a car crash. She was formula fed. Eventually I switched to mercilon which agreed with me.

So, after dd2 arrives is it best to wait for a natural period before starting mercilon again?0

It's up to you. if you start at 21 days then you get contraceptive cover right away but you can wait longer before starting as long as you take other precautions
