I had this 2 weeks ago and have experienced some of the worst anxiety I have ever had I can't eat and I'm getting that worked up about things that aren't even happening. Today I've started spotting have sore boobs and feel like I'm comin on my period and its only been 2 weeks since I had one. I'm getting coil on Monday and this was to tide me over til then. Anyone else had any experience of this?

I spotted for the first 12 weeks on depo. No other side effects is can recall. Second and subsequent injections stopped periods altogether and took 7 months to return to normal. (I had 3 altogether)

Probably a good idea for a long term solution, doesn't sound like your side effects are very good though.

I can't stand feeling like this. I'm prone to depression you would think my doctor would have said something about this side effect

Yes he probably should have done. Go back and discuss it. Don't think there will be a quick solution mind.

So my doc thinks that depo isn't to blame its my depression raising its ugly head again. I was that anxious about a urine test that I had to have for chalmydia (which came back negative) before I get the coil that I had myself convinced I had hiv and went for a test yesterday morning. I knew I didn't but am not thinking rationally now. Been put on sertraline 100mg a day :(
