Brownie camp question

Dd1 is going on her first Brownie camp soon.

I'm collecting together all the stuff she'll need (eep! at the cost) but although she has the daysack, it's never going to fit all the stuff in!

What kind of bag or case will she need? What do others take with them in terms of luggage?

Don't know about Brownies but taking year 4 children on residentials we suggest a small pull along suitcase as they have to carry their own luggage to/from the coach.

My Brownie took a small pull along suitcase to camp last year. Most of the other girls had the same, some had holdalls.

Wheeled carry-on bag is good, with a bin bag for sleeping bag, pillow and wellies.

Top tip - do make sure everything is clearly named. For the leaders, the aftermath of any Brownie trip is trying to reunite Brownies with the sundry wellies, socks, shoes and bits of uniform they've left behind.

Ah, good advice!
I have spent the afternoon ironing in name labels into everything she is taking, inc the sleeping bag-bag

I ordered her the camping uniform, fleece blanket etc etc from the brownie shop and it all arrived today. I'm really excited for her!

DD's use one of those big holdalls with wheels at one end, feel very grown up towing it up the disabled ramp and into the hall themselves.

Chuck in a couple of strong tie top bin bags. In my experience dads can get impossibly large sleeping bags and camp blankets into impossibly small stuff sacks, but sleep deprived brown owls may prefer to chicken out.
