Can anyone recommend a piano teacher in norwich? My DS (age 6) received a keyboard for christmas and is keen to have lessons. Many thanks.

If you pop into your local music shop they will have lists of local piano/keyboard teachers.

(Btw some 'piano teachers' will not teach 'piano' unless the child has a piano - rather than a keyboard - to practise on at home.)

try this website for teachers in your area:

Sorry, too lazy to do a link!

ISM or ABRSM will give you a list of teachers in your area. Be prepared to hear "he is too young" and "I only teach children that have a piano", and don't get mad those teachers are only being honest and avoiding wasting your time.

Thank you so much, I am going to contact a number from both ISM and your link Creole...I love mumsnet. And yes I don't mind if they say too young/need a piano, really I want someone who will make it as much fun as possible.

If the keyboard is weighted and has full sized keys then most will take them on but 6 is pretty young. You can do stuff with them at 6 that is fun but children tend not to have progressed any further than a child who starts at say 7.
