Beaver Camp Blanket

DS is going on his first Beaver Camp next month. His birthday is about 2 weeks before the camp and I would like to get him a camp blanket. I can see 2 styles for sale from Scout a Shops - a beaver blue/cub green reversible poncho style fleece blanket, and grey wooly type army style flat blanket. The latter is fire retardant which I rather like!

Has anyone any opinions on either of these blankets? DS is very tall, and I'm concerned that he'd grow out of the poncho style before he leaves Cubs.

My DSs both have the army style one. It's pretty warm and washes surprisingly well. Tbh I only bought them because they remind me if the one I had when I was a guide. Anyway they seem to like them. HTH
