Dd2 had her audition today. She thinks it was ok though the set piece gets more bonkers each year !

Anyone else hoping to go ? She's on tour with the music service ( and one of the nyro tutors) the week before too!

We will do the younger version when Mini's NCO window slams shut... probably quite soon. Good luck to your DD.

yep. DD1 is going. I didn't realise they were still running auditions we thought she and her friends were the last ones. Have you answered the survey about Germany? To say Dd1 is not keen would be an understatement.

We were a bit late applying :)

Think we did the Germany survey. The German players were great and they had a good time when they were here. Mind you dds up for a tour to anywhere. She's a bit of a tour veteran what with school, cathedral and music service ( she went on tour in the uk with cathedral at aged 9 but had to take DH to be responsible for here lol - it was ok as he sang too)

I'll have to get a MN scarf ...or other secret signal lol

I know the German players are great but DD1 definitely doesn't fancy going there next year. She has to go there on two separate school trips already, I think she thinks a third trip would kill her (Germany is rubbish for vegetarians. Except Hamburg which is superb. None of Dd1s trips are to Hamburg). The expense might also be an issue for us, if it ends up being much more expensive than the usual cost. You don't need to get a scarf on my account since I won't be at th concert, sadly - another DC is in a YMT:UK show that day, also very far away from where we live but only half as far as York is! So I'm going to that, to bring her home. DD1 is traveling back with some of her friends. It's a shame but that week is a very popular one for courses activity - the other DC is also doing something that week (to do with coding) with some kind of valedictory thing on the Saturday.

DS is too young this year, but will audition next year. He went to one of the playing days and had a nice time. I'll have to perfect my mumsnet secret handshake next year so I can spot you all
