Sylvia Young Holiday Courses

Hi I have two children (8 & 10) who love dance, drama etc. and I have seen that Sylvia Young do courses during the holidays.
Has anyone's children attended these and if so where did you stay as this seems to be the expensive bit as we aren't from London? Were there any negatives?
Thanks

I did these years ago, classes were great, the really bitchy stagey brats that also went were horrid! Great for self confident kids, not if they aren't!

Dd1 did the musical theatre summer course when she was eight. She loved it, made friends with Bonnie Langfords daughter (and has since met up with her when her mum was a on tour locally to us).

Can't say they really challenged my Dd, but she did enjoy the course, and got on well with the teachers and other attendees. It let her see what a stage school was like.

We stayed with family, but originally Dd was meant to go to a host fAmily. She wouldn't stay! There is a travelodge a few minutes walk from the school though, so keep an eye out for cheap deals.
