My son is 3 but nearly 4. What activities did your children do at this age? He currently only has swimming lessons, I feel that he should be doing more.

We were really involved with our Sure Start - we did a cooking class, story sack type stuff, they had lovely play equipment and we used to go each Monday and see the same people each time.

Monday monring was food shopping morning and I used to give my DD a picture list and she would enjoy finding things. We made a big deal of little things really like making lunch together, going to buy things from in town, etc...

We do a music class, pre school gymnastics and swimming as well as school nursery.

Ds1 did swimming lessons, ds2 doesn't do any organised activities outside of pre school. We go swimming most weeks, otherwise just playing, park, helping with the cooking, library... Why do you think he should do more?

If you mean organised activities, clubs, lessons, etc. None.
DD went to nursery 3 days a week at that age.

He goes to pre-school every morning as well, but he is always running around when at home, I mean really running, which makes me wonder if he's not getting enough physical stimulation.

He sounds like a bundle of energy! Some kind of gym club might be fun and as the weather improves, a local park and a scooter and a football should do the trick.

Thank you bemur, I did take him to the park today as it was a nice day, but it has been so cold for so long that we haven't been going much, maybe that's the problem.

Ballet. (yes including ds)
Swimming (dd1)
A craft club (because I'm not crafty and I hate the tidying home afterwards) (dd1 and dd2-ds hated craft)

My Dd is 4 in June. She currently attends pre-school two and a half days a week, does three ballet classes a week and has just expressed an interest in swimming lessons. I think that's enough at her age!

He loves to sing too, I thought about stagecoach or similar but it's only from 4.
