Hi there. My 6 year old DS is very keen on learning guitar and he's started teaching himself. I would like to buy him a song book appropriate to his age and level and would appreciated any recommendations as I don't even know where to start. Thanks so much.

Don't know much, but I taught myself classical guitar using one of those A tune a day books. I could already read music though.

i think if you can get him some lessons to teach techniques and basic chords then get the books he'd learn much easier

Thank you everyone for suggestions and links; I'll look into them tonight. Myhouseisnotamess, if your dd no longer needs the guitar books then I am sure my ds would love to have them. It is very kind to offer them for free, I appreciate that a lot, I can use paypal to pay you for postage. Posting books is really expensive these days! I think you can email me your paypal account privately? Thanks again.
