Any free sites where you can work out how many miles/kms you run?

That's it really. Does anyone know of any free sites I can work out how far I am running/plan routes etc? It must include off road.

I've also done it using the personal maps feature on www.maps.google.co.uk Google Maps.

When I say "done it", I mean map-my-walk...

Also, I tend to go to google earth which has a route measuring thingy but I already had that on the pc.

If you have an iphone, map my run also has an app where it works out where you've been using the GPS and gives you all the stats when you get home (as long as you carry it with you obv)

DH bores amazes me with his "stats" after every run

and you can also get a widget to put in your shoe that connects to your iphone and tells you via GPS how far you've gone! (same effect as below I guess). You can even get it to shout at you at every mile, have scared a few passers by doing this ...

Dh has got an iphone, but I doubt he'd let me take it - I'm not to be trusted with gadgets! I'll let him know though - it may encourage him to take up running, you never know.
