Hi ladies! Hope everyone is well! Quick question.
My partner & I just spent the weekend in Keswick we did Helvellyn & Cat bells plus Keswick park run. I'm 14 weeks pregnant. Besides stopping to pee 4 times on the Helvellyn I felt great!

We are going back in 6 weeks for my birthday! I'm really hoping to do skiddaw & another crag. Has anyone done these or any while pregnant? Thanks xx

I would have said Helvellyn is a harder walk than Skiddaw so if you're fit and well I guess you should be ok. I live in the Lakes and always walked while pregnant. Though not up big ones like Scafell etc. What about doing the Ullswater way. It's a new circular walk of Ullswater. It's approx 20 miles and not hugely hard except a few bits and lts of coffee stops etc en route.

Skiddaw is nice n easy compared with Helvellyn. Not many wee stops though as its a large "motorway" of a path. Fine if you're pregnant. Take fluids though as there aren't really any streams to fill up water bottles.

I went up to summit of Ben Nevis when I was almost 7 months. Good luck :).

How about parking near Buttermere, at gatesgarth farm and going up and then down to Black Sail Hostel? Puts you in Ennerdale valley which is wild and beautiful.

Can we discuss parking in Lakes, I'm up for that, anyway.

I read that the the carpark at Wasdale head is off limits (dodgy bridge?) Is that true?

I'm hoping to get up OM of Conistan, Scafell Pike & maybe one other high point with the DC, when we go to LDst next month.

Ive no idea about the current state of the Wasdale head road. I know when I was in the Lakes last March there was a website with all road closures marked.

Ive been up Coniston old man but was staying in the village, I think you can park on the road side on the little dead end road which heads up towards COM. Walna scar road???

Are you planning to do Scafell from Langdale? Again you can normally squeeze your car in somewhere on the road side. I walked up it years ago but was camping in langdale so just left the car at the campsite.

Can't see anything about Wasdale here.
