Something like 30 Day Shred but with dodgy knees

I've buggered my knee. It's currently a little bit crunchy and achy and I need some suggestions for exercising that I can do while it sorts out. I've been going great guns with 30DS, running and dieting and lost almost a stone (woo!) and I need something to replace the exercise part for a bit.

Any suggestions?

Watching with interest. My left knee is shot and although I'm pregnant at the mo so won't be shredding I'd like to try it again in future (I tried it last year and was in agony with my knee after one session).

My knee has been iffy for a while but I did some squats on Monday and fell over in pain! I'm hoping that it'll sort itself out with some rest and a knee support but in the meantime I need something to keep me going.

Jessica Smith (youtube) has lots of knee friendly workouts. The Beginner Shred is easier on the joints too, but that would involve a purchase!

You could check your alignment as you may just be putting pressure in the wrong places, which causes pain/damage. Don't think La Michaels particularly stresses this afair.

Katy Bowman has a good explanation - scroll down to the bottom.

Thank you! That's all looking promising. I'll be trying the realignment tonight and maybe have a go at a video. Is there one you recommend?

I haven't done exercise vids for ages I'm afraid - been in the gym sorting out my shoulder since December!
I was doing the Mutu system, and a lot of the posters on the fb group rate Katy Bowman highly. She has a nutritious movement video, plus several others, might be worth looking at the blog.
Sounds line you should be rehabbing the knee rather than pushing on with an exercise regime. Frustrating though.

The 30 day Shred for Beginners is brilliant, specifically made by Jillian for people with dodgy knees, and she's a lot nicer/less shouty too!
