Please come and help me "psych up" for my half marathon on Sunday!

For some reason I've set myself targets on this HM and I want to do it under 2 hours. I should be able to, I've done the training but I'm now psyching myself out of it - I just need a good talking to!

I'm also feeling bad as my neighbour got me a vest to wear from her charity and it's marginally too tight under the arms and I really don't want to be stressing about clothing on the day but I will feel very guilty if I don't wear it.

I realise this is totally ridiculous - no-one else cares if I do it under 2 hours, no-one else is remotely interested (apart from a few people in my running club) and no-one's life depends on it so it really shouldn't matter so much!

Give me a kick up the butt.

You can do it! Like you say, you've done the training and yo are ready. Maybe it's not big in the grand scheme of things but it matters to you and that's what counts. The race is the result of all those runs in the rain and the cold and the dark. All the days when you got yourself out the door and did it. So the race is your reward, you get cheering and a medal!
Not sure what to do about the vest mind you! Try it on a run before and see if it is a problem?
So good luck with the race, hope you enjoy it and it goes well and you get the time you want, you deserve it!

Thanks emummy appreciate that a lot.

Yes, ran in vest last night - too tight sadly. Pulling under the arms which is not comfortable.

Ah well, that vest is not going to work then. Can you get another one in time?
