Hi, after the excitement of my first 5k event yesterday I would really like to sign up to a 10k.
I can't seem to find any 5k to 10k training plans, can anyone recommend any?
Or can I just build up in .5k increments each week? I am currently running 5.8k 3 or 4 times a week, so was maybe going to up it to 6k, then the following week 6.5k etc or can I do it faster than that.
I don't want to rush my body as I am a slow paced runner (5k in 35 mins), but equally I want to keep going with a goal and push myself.
Would LOVE to do a half marathon one day.

There's c210k plans. The first half is pretty much the same as c25k, so the second half of those would be appropriate.

Thanks for your reply, I will have a look. The 10k goal seems a long way away at the moment but I am trying to remember that 5k was also a long way away 10 weeks ago!

Increments of 0.5k per week would be fine. Once you get to 10k you could increase by 1k per week if you're still keen to try for a half. Or recalibrate to miles ...

I'm in the process of doing this. I'm up to 8k so far. My self designed training programme this week is Monday 6k, Wednesday 8k, Friday 3k, Saturday 5k park run. And then to increase the dinstance on a Monday and Wednesday.

My problem is that I'm so slow. Once I'm up to running 10k, I really really need to get faster.
