Which sports watch?

I want gps and an integrated hrm and not to wait an age for the gps to find a signal. Fitbit surge gps doesn't get great reviews and Polar M400 sounds perfect but doesn't have an integrated hrm! Does anyone have the perfect sports watch for both running and gym/class use? Not too bothered about step counting as I'm either sedentary or doing something fairly high intensity so more interested in cardiovascular training.

Do you really, really want integrated HRM - they're generally pretty poor for high intensity stuff.

Microsoft Band or Garmin 235 will be the other options, but I'd say integrated is probably the requirement you want to drop, then there's loads of options!

I am interested in this too. I have a Polar FT4 that is a few years old now but am finding the chest strap annoying so am looking at something without the strap if possible.

I also want to track my pace etc when running and also need calories burnt in spin classes as well as when out running.

Sorry to hijack!

I have a fitbit surge and the GPS works well. I love it.

Thanks all. I am reconsidering the integrated hrm and the Fitbit Surge. Think I just need to make a decision!!

I've been wrestling with this for ages as am marathon training and my Garmin has given up the ghost. In the end I went for the Polar M400. I'm told the HRM strap is okay of it sits under the bottom strap of your sports bra. It won't arrive until Monday but will update!

I've got the polar M400. I initially talked to the chap in the running shop about moving away from chest straps, but they remain the most accurate way to record heart rate.

I use it as my general watch. I didn't buy it for the lifestyle tracking, but it is useful.

I like the app which it connects to, and it now links to strava.

Just back from running using M400 for the first time. I didn't notice the strap at all which is great as I am the type of runner that is easily distracted by tiny wardrobe malfunctions! I like the app and the website. Also find the fitness test function useful and will be interested to see how my resting heartrate improves over time.

So far, so good.

Tom Tom spark cardio does all of the above, there is also a music version which also stores songs. Love mine.

I was lucky enough to get a garmin 235 for Christmas and it's great. I wear it all the time and it tracks sleep, steps etc. Then I turn on gps and set the activity when I go for a run. Finds gps much quicker than my old forerunner 910 xt
