Kettlercise online?

Hi ladies, can anyone recommend a youtube / online kettlecise programme that I could do at home? I've been going to classes, so know what I'm doing, but on the odd chance that I miss the class through work, it would be great to do my own version in my own time.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Or perhaps an app? Hoping to play on my ipad in the garden.

I like Ryan Shanahan kettlebell boot camp on YouTube. It's only 20 minutes but it really gives you a workout. My thighs and bum always hurt for a couple of days after. It's the video where they're on a quite sad looking beach.

Hi Jimeney - thanks, I'll take a look at that one today!

That looks right up my street. I'm sure it's not meant to be amusing (or perhaps it is...?), but it certainly kept me entertained while exercising.

No mucking about with Sergeant Shanahan! No fattitude, just ripitude!

I love how his Canadian accent pops up sometimes "we're going to work ooot" Grin

In one of his other videos that mostly uses 2 kettlebells (also on the sad beach - great video for the legs) Funk Roberts, his background man, sadly shows some fattitude when he can't manage to repeatedly do fast lifts with two 35lb kettlebells. Ryan pretends to be encouraging but you can tell he's annoyed while his kettlebells are half the weight of Funk's

Sounds hilarious! I'll look out for that one....

Ive just had a look at this and think id like to try. I need to buy the kettlebells though, can I ask was weight kettle bells you use, or you think a beginner would need to use?

Just done that Ryan one with him and his wife, gosh he's an arse isn't he!!

It was a doable workout so I made it without failing which was good (as I'm a bit of a kettlebell newb, definitely nowhere near a 400cal workout as he was saying though), thanks for the recommendation!

I will have to look for that one! What size kettlebell do you use Cecyhall?

I only used a little 5kg today to see how it was (that might be why my calorie burn was so much less actually!) but I have a 10kg one as well that I might use next time (I'm not a great weights person though so other people would probably use heavier)

cecy is that the one when they're at a skate park? I remember wondering how she managed to restrain herself from snarling at him. There's something compelling about his work outs though.

happy I use 5kg for most exercises, 10kg for the easy things like swings, and 2.5kg for the really hard ones (like where you hold the kettle bell out to the side with a straight arm). I'm a renowned weakling though.

I use 6 or an 8, depending on how I'm feeling. 4 for small we muscles like my biceps.

What's the one called with his wife, got to see that one.

Yes he's an *rse, but there's something strangely likeable too??

Hey Jimeney - hope that's not fatitude I can hear...... Nothing weakling about 10k for swings!

No, no fattitude, only ripitude!

The skate park one where he is rude to his wife is called . Maybe I should post a link to Women's Aid in the YouTube comments? I feel like I'm over involved in his life.

The one I did was on the beach, he was just generally a bit off to her (in that stereotyped muscleman kind of way, a bit chauvinistic I felt), she didn't seem to be very confident on what they were doing, I'm guessing they hadn't had a practice run through!

I had never thought of using different weights for different difficulty levels, how silly am I?! I'll have them both out in the future. And I'm glad that you are on similar weights to me, i don't know why I felt I should be using much higher! Smile
