C25k week 4 - feel sick at the end of a run

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 09/07/2015 21:06

I have week 4 run 3 to do tomorrow morning, but the last two times I've done this run I've felt like I'm going to vomit at the end of the run.

Any tips on how to avoid this as the runs are only going to get harder! Confused

Are you doing this on a treadmill or actually running? I'm doing it on a treadmill (also week 4) and enjoying it, always finding it about right. I mentioned this to my sister who said she tried it and had to stop because it just made her feel sick - she was running outside. I think running on a treadmill is loads easier.

Yes I'm running outside, can't get to a treadmill so I need to find a way to get over it I think. Interesting that there is such a difference between running outside or on a treadmill.

How fast are you running - could you run slower?

Sounds a bit obvious, but I'll mention it anyway because I didn't realise being new to running, but if I've eaten 2 hrs before I run (or closer) I feel like I'm going to be sick.

I knew not to have a full meal or anything, but anything at all and it happens.

I don't think I'm running particularly fast but I'll slow down and see if it helps.

I'm running on an empty stomach, aside from a couple of sips of water before I go, because I'm running at 6.30am.

I thought it was probably obvious enough that you'd know if that was the issue Blush

I run at different times, but I do best first thing as well.
