Hi, new here. I'm on a mission to get fit and hopefully lose a little weight. Due to problems with my feet I am limited in the kind of exercise I can do. At the moment I do yoga several times a week and I walk but I want to find the motivation to walk more, i.e. to and from work rather than getting the bus. A friend recommended a Fitbit but I don't know which one to get.

So would anyone recommend them and if so which one.

Thanks.

Hello, I have a Fitbit zip which was about 40 on Amazon. It's the clip on one, I didn't really want one on my wrist. I've found it to be a real motivator, I'm walking far more and entering food as well - had it just over a month and lost just over a stone.

I luffs my Fitbit one. I probably talk about it much too much. I got the one because it's unobtrusive, clips to my bra and sends me encouraging emails.

At first I found 10,000 steps an impossible dream. Now I regularly walk to work instead of taking the shuttle bus to/from the overflow car park. Being a bit more active has really helped me feel better and made more interested in eating food to support my well being. I avoid weighing myself but since February this year I'm down from wearing size 22 to size 12 trousers. Happy days.

Hope it goes well for you, too

I have a Fitbit one, clip it to my bra each day. I really, really rate it - I too have lost loads of weight since using it to motivate me to exercise more . I am so much fitter and feel tons better .

Thank you all. Decided to go for the Fitbit charge in the end as less likely to lose it and also can double as a watch.

Have managed 10,000 steps most days but still finding it tough. Have also cut most of the sugar from my diet so hoping to see results soon.

Well done, Finallyhere, that is impressive. :)
