When in pain do you exercise?!!

Sooo. Thought I was fit. Have changed to a new PT and doing different exercises. I'm in pain all the next day (and the days after!) I'd usually run a day after PT . Should I still exercise when aching or rest (or ask PT to lay off a bit?) I'm a runner and finding it hard I run after training

Depends how much pain, if it's normal muscle soreness from strength training then I'd wait a few days before training the same muscle groups, but I'd do that anyway.

Discuss with PT? If running is your real love, ask them to fine tune it so you can still run. Or it may just take a while to get used to the new regime.

Depends what level of pain. If it's mild DOMS in your legs, I would still run but gently. You should find it eases as you go. But, if it's the sort of DOMS where sitting down/stairs are a struggle, like I got after I did my first bodypump class with too-high weights for the squats, I would leave it a couple of days or do something lower impact. As you get used to your new exercise regime, you should find it improves in any case.
