I need new running gear. Any recommendations?

I've started running on the treadmill again after a long break & all my old gear is ill-fitting, looking a bit worn and highly naff.

I'd like some new capri leggings or shorts, preferably tight-fitting (to prevent....ahem....chafing) and they need to be able to survive 2/3 washes per week. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've heard Ronhill are rather good. I'm usually a size 12 - should I go for that or size up or down?

Plus I desperately need a few Shock Absorber bras. I'm a 34E in normal M&S t-shirt bras. Anyone know where to start with sports bras? I recall from years ago they were a bit tricky on the sizing & I think I had to size up considerably.

Cheers.

I run a lot and am pretty happy with Nike and LA Gear capri pants. Also size 12. They are flattering, well fitted, wash very well and do the job - never any chafing.
Only ever used karrimor sports bras but only 34C so not such an issue but I find them v comfortable and supportive and they wash well.

I just buy from Sports direct, with some long Ron Hills for the winter.

Have you done the bra intervention measuring thing? Best to do a fit check before splashing out on sports bras

Thanks both, I've ordered some Nike capris from Sports Direct - reasonably priced I thought.
Yes I'm finally wearing the correct size bras after the intervention thing. And I'm 40! I think I'll order a few sports bras in various styles to get the best fit.
Cheers.

I got the karrimor capris and full length leggings from sports direct. V cheap, v comfy and a handy little pocket on the arse for key/phone maybe...

I wear mostly North Face stuff, but I have two shock absorbers and they are both 32F (I would be a 32EE/F in non-sports bras) they are the best sports bras I have ever had. My running gear has been in and out of the wash every few days for the past 4 years and is still holding me in!

I buy from DW and Sports Direct. I got 2 long capris for winter from DW for £25 Mi-Fit brand. Summer capris are Adidas and I wear running vests I have from charities I've run for.

I like Nike capris, nice and stretchy fit and seem to bear up to washing well. Karimoor are good too, but do fade after repeated washing. I have soem saucony ones too, but find them a bit restrictive.

shockabsorber I found true to size. Got some bargains in Debenhams a few months ago - might be worth a look.

Nike dri fit tops are lovely to run it. I tend to get very hot, but these are the best, so thin and light.

With shock absorbers I need a back size up. I have some sweaty betty vests I love. Karimor bottoms which are ok but like my new balance ones best. I got them from tks.
