Anyone been? Is this one of the les miller things? I'm debating trying a class on Saturday but if they are a couple of weeks into a new routine is it a bad idea?

Thanks Smile

They're good, very jumpy, more aerobic than for learning any punching / kicking. Don't worry if you don't know the routine at first, after a couple of classes it gets much easier.

If you've done proper martial arts before then it's easy.

Body combat is good - yes it is a Les Mills thing and they generally keep the same release for 3 months and then it changes so yeah go along.

I just my first ever Les Mills Body Attack class this morning....I liked it but my injured ham-string was not so keen .

A word of warning for your first combat class - suck in your pelvic floor at all times Grin

I've been doing Combat for about 6 years- it is ace. you are concentrating so hard on the routines and doing the technique right, you don't really think about how much you are sweating etc. There are jumps but you can do low impact options if you need to , just tell the instructor and they will sort it for you. Go for it!

Maybe consider Body Pump then if you are not too keen on jumping about. You can take it down to low impact so maybe try that for a start and see how you go. Pump is ace too though, another Less Mills one :)

I remember the difficulty of sitting down on and getting off the toilet after my first body pump class! Also the pain of going up and down the stairs! Your body does get used to it though until you miss a few classes and then you get reminded of it again. I am kind of dreading my next body pump class as I have missed my last 2 classes due to ill children/waiting in for a couch repair.
