What are the best gym classes for the un-coordinated?

Which sort of classes are best for someone who is really un-coordinated?

I'm reasonably fit (can easily run 5K on the treadmill in 30 mins) and not overweight, but struggle to keep up with any class with any kind of dance routine type aerobic thing going on - just can't work out what I'm supposed to be doing and end up looking stupid.

My gym also does body pump and body balance classes, are these reasonably easy to follow?

For me, definitely the ones where at least half of your body is underwater and therefore invisible!

Both of those are pretty straightforwards, get there early and let the instructor know that you're new, they should talk you through the format / more complicated moves / what equipment you need then.

Attack and combat are my favs - everyone is uncoordinated at first! I go wrong all the time and I've been doing both for years, I'd definitely recommend giving them a try. Boot camp / HIT type classes also have more 'normal' moves that you don't do in time with the group- cod be worth a look?

I fancy giving metafit a go, as I too have coordination probs and hate anything that involves aerobics dancing etc. Am just doing all kinds of Jillian Michaels dvd's at moment to prepare me for it.

I love body balance - it's tai chi, yoga and Pilates to a soundtrack- fairly easy to follow as it's slow moving but make sure you can see the instructor. It has some tough 'hold' positions that hurt and strong stretches, so good if you do a lot of cardio and need to strengthen ankles, legs etc.

it's a Les Mills class so the content changes every few months and the programme is new for everyone, so a good time to go. It's due to change very soon I think.

Body pump would be excellent, zero motor skills needed :)

In body pump you stay in your own wee area so not much moving about at all.

Sounds like body pump would be worth a go then! My gym does a "technique" session 10 mins before the main session starts, so that would probably be a good place to start. Thanks for the suggestions!
