Hello! Smile

I have recently had a baby and I'm looking for someone to join me in losing weight.
I think it'd help me a lot to have someone or a group to discuss what we have done in the week, set goals and reach targets together! I think it'd help me keep on track for once!

About me: I had my son by c section 9 weeks ago, I'm 5ft4 and currently weigh 11stone 12.
My target weight is 10 stone and I'm thinking it's going to be a lot of walking with the pram as childcare won't readily be available. Occasional runs when I get chance Smile

Anyone feel they'd like to join me with a similar goal possibly?

Me too! I can't wait! I'm 27 and have a 5 month old. Ive moved house recently and just lost track of dieting as I've been so busy! I'm 5'6'' and weigh 11.3st. I NEED to get to 10 stone! I live with my partner of 7 years who looses weight really easily which is so frustrating! I've tried slimming world which I love but cannot stick to it. The tesco diet was my favorite as I could stick to that easily. I was thinking about doing the 'couch to 5k challenge' I tried that before which was a great way to start running :)

I'm so happy someone's interested Smile

I've recently moved house too, about 4 days ago haha so very recent! I seem to be constantly busy but I don't seem to get anything done house wise so there's piles of all sorts everywhere Grin

I've also tried slimming world a few times and done well on it but I seem to stop losing after a while and eventually get annoyed and give up! But I think that's lack of exercise that stops me losing any more.

I'm hoping to exercise to lose weight and just be sensible eating wise rather than calorie counting etc. Smaller portions but still a few treats I think Smile

Will you be out with the pram do you think? I can't really run with my pram I don't think it'd go well so I think I'll be mainly doing long walks. But I will be able to have someone watch him maybe once or twice a week while I run Smile the couch to 5k sounds amazing! I hope I get to do it properly one day

I know exactly what you mean by the 'piles of things everywhere' I'm sure between us we can organise ourselves! I think the problem with slimming world is.... You're allowed sooo many carbs that if you cheat YOU KNOW ABOUT IT!! It works if you solely stick to it but let's be honest... With a kid it's difficult!! From Monday I'm going to take long walks and do the wonderful tesco diet. I did or a few years ago and it's the only plan that kept my weight off for good. I can't wait to start again. Do you fancy starting fresh on Monday too?

Haha we can try Wink

Monday sounds perfect to me!! What's the tesco diet like I've never heard of that one? Smile

It's a really simple diet with a lot of fruit and veg. It's quite an expensive subscription but I managed to find 6 days that I printed off years ago! I'll just do the 6 days over and over again because I can't afford to subscribe again lol! A typical day would be cereal and fruit for breakfast, pitta and houmous or soup and bread for lunch, ryvita or fruit as a snack and bolognese, vegetable rice etc for dinner. If you're interested in starting with me on Monday I can give you the plan! It's the only diet I stuck to for 6 weeks and lost a stone AND kept it off! :)

That sounds good! I'd love to give it a go if you wouldn't mind sending me what it's about Smile

Starting tomorrow, how exciting!! I need to get weighed tomorrow, I'm going to keep writing it down. Do you think we should weigh in every Monday or every other or something? Smile

I think weighing in every Monday will keep us more motivated! I'm up for it so let's do it! We can share our eating and exercising habits every day. Good luck with your first day tomorrow. Really look forward to how you got on. I'll send you some info on the diet x

Yes I did ok. Branflakes for breakfast, half a tin of soup and wholemeal bread for lunch and mixed bean salad for dinner. No exercise but going on a very long walk today! Let's aim for 2 lbs a week :)

I haven't managed anything again due to cleaning the house, it wasn't in a brilliant state when we moved in! Tomorrow will be day one for the couch to 5k, I'm going to try my best to follow the plans you posted Smile

Hope you're doing well!! I will let you know how tomorrow goes Smile

I haven't been doing brilliant with my eating if I'm honest, but I'm hoping if I get the exercise in place then I can start on my eating properly! I might try the tesco diet too it sounds quite good!! Smile

Yeah that'd be brilliant thanks Smile

I've decided the best thing to do is to start properly on Monday. My first run and the eating together as I have ruined this week big time!!

So Monday is big change day Smile going to clear my cupboards of all crap and go shopping with my little boy for lots of fruit, veg and yummy nice things!!

Sounds great! I'll email you the diet :)

Once you've done the first day it's so easy to stay on track. The portions aren't too generous but you really do get over it after a few days.

We can do it!!! Let's be determined!

Yeah definitely Smile I found I've done this before where I blow the first week, hate myself for it and then start properly haha!

Found an app on my phone too to help with the running where it will beep for me when to start running and switch to walking and things, it's good! Smile

How are you doing with the moving house?
