Hi am managing to fit in 40 min buggy jogs - every other day. Going to start post natal yoga course coming week. Not doing any more - only 7 weeks post birth - as going to wait until abs are stronger. Starting my Pilates this week too. Am 9st 10lbs - pew preg was 9st 4lbs but quite liking the extra bit of weight (stops me looking old as am 43 next week). Exercise for me is for fitness only.
Hello Careergirl - was wondering how you were getting on?
Am now overdue and waiting very impatiently for DS to be born ... Still keeping up the pregnancy exercise but also beginning to think about the future. After resting, I'm planning to start with some light walking and pilates - how are you finding the latter?
Like you, I exercise for fitness only, not to get a certain body type, although I'm hoping I won't retain too much baby weight as it's exhausting carrying all this around!
Is it safe to jog with a buggy at 7 weeks? Do you take your newborn out with you?
Hope you are enjoying being outside in this glorious weather.
Impressed by our routine careergirl! I am missing running a lot, but at 11 weeks I still haven't found an opportunity to get out jogging, as by the time DH comes home it's a bit late for running - can't wait until DS hits 6 months and I can head out with him in a running pram!
In the meantime, I was thinking about DVDs at home, does anyone have any good recommendations? Our little guy only sleeps in a sling (reflux) and can't yet be left more than 20 or so minutes without some form of attention, so short and sweet is probably best. Is the shred good postpartum?
