Hi John - how are you getting on? I'll be starting over the bank holiday weekend..... where do I find the details of the Tricep Dip challenge? In for a penny, etc.....!

Chelvis Tue 13-Aug-13 22:22:08

I'm going to start this tomorrow - my bum and legs need SERIOUS work! Did anyone see weight loss results or is it more for toning?

JohnSnowsTie Mon 12-Aug-13 13:20:41

Started today! Anyone else?

I also started a 30 Day Tricep Dip Challenge on Friday. Today'a a rest day from that. smile

Anyone feeling/looking better for the squat challenge? Also is it OK to split them into sets or should they be done all at once?

Hi

Is anyone still doing this challenge?

I started yesterday and would love to see who else is doing it grin

Salbertina Tue 02-Jul-13 20:12:56

Yes. Am varying a bit now though- plie squats, slow squats, fast ones, with weights etc otherwise body gets used yo it. .think its a great psychological exercise and quick fix but not sustainable in longterm. Got to 150 dips and 150 squats now incorporating into a balanced weight resistance training

Is anyone else still doing this?

Am on day 13 and it is haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard grin (and I haven't even done it properly).

Hi, I'm still here. Not been doing the squats thoughsad . Tomorrow is another day, and I will do 250. The running side of things has taken over, but it's no excuse to stop squatting grin

Salbertina Sun 23-Jun-13 15:06:31

Hey, Knee, just you and me here?! Wi-i-b-b-l-y!!! Are you there (or tough mudder watching)?

Salbertina Fri 21-Jun-13 05:19:01

Been squatting & dipping but forgot to post upto 135 now. Rest day today grin

KneeDeepInDaisies Wed 19-Jun-13 19:56:48

Aargh I've done nothing for ages so came back today with 30 squats sad and 50 dips.

Megsdaughter Fri 14-Jun-13 16:43:45

Did 55 today. Not feeling too much pain ( apart from my arse)

Salbertina Fri 14-Jun-13 11:46:48

I did 1 burpee .. <cough> for a laugh... Nearly killed me grin
My knees & pelvic floor are not what they were hmm

However, 115 squats & dips completed

wibblyjelly Fri 14-Jun-13 11:25:41

Please report back, Offdaygrin
I am giving the squats a miss today. I did my first 5k run yesterday night (1 hour!) so am feeling it today. Going up and down stairs is certainly interesting today grin

I used to be able to burpees in my dim & distant past.

I would definitely fall over after 1 or 2 now though.

I might try one later for a laugh, will report back grin

Megsdaughter Thu 13-Jun-13 15:44:34

Did my first 50. Not to bad but I have been doing 20 mins aerobics every day for last few months.

wibblyjelly Thu 13-Jun-13 14:42:33

I would fall flat on my face doing those shock

D0oinMeCleanin Thu 13-Jun-13 14:36:32

Eeevil burpees

I hate them. Trainer loves them sad

wibblyjelly Thu 13-Jun-13 14:33:25

What's a burpee?

D0oinMeCleanin Thu 13-Jun-13 14:15:20

My trainer advised doing the 30 day squat challenge with burpees instead of squats to tone the whole body and increase fitness.

I knew I'd heard of it from MN but had no idea how many squats/burpees you were supposed to do. I assumed you'd do 1 on day 1, 2 on day 2, 3 on day 3....

50 burpees in a row mwhahahahahaha <dies laughing>

Squats I can manage. I might join in when my cold buggers off.

wibblyjelly Thu 13-Jun-13 14:08:43

250 donegrin . I'm also gearing up for a 5k run for the first time tonight. Fingers crossed I do it

That's what I though wibbly smile

Salbertina Thu 13-Jun-13 07:12:18

No-one else walking like an old woman or just me?!
Rest day today grin

wibblyjelly Wed 12-Jun-13 21:47:40

I'd go for the 80. You know you can get up to that number, so no sense in going backwards grin

A rest day for me, but I've just looked at the numbers again and I've jumped ahead a bit shock

I did 50, 60, then 70 on my first 3 days.

Should I just start at 80 tomorrow & push on? Don't suppose there's any point NOT doing that unless anyone advises differently?

Thanks smile

wibblyjelly Wed 12-Jun-13 09:20:13

Morning Sal!

The main aim was to get up to 250, so I think I've peaked this morning. When I go back to work, I'll probably have to split them into a morning and evening session of 125 each.
