Do you have a mantra? How did you decide what it would be? Does it help you?At the moment I'm going with 'I am a runner', which doesn't quite fit with what I thought would work, but it does make me feel credible, as I head out of the door. Am interested to see if other use one and how.
Quitters never win and winners never quitI don't say it to myself all the time when exercising - only when I need a bit extra motivation eg at the end of 6 mile run when I decide to do a last half mile sprint. Helps me when I need it.
There's a big difference between wanting to stop (when out running) & physically having to stop. Plus, with a decent 30 min + exercise = your passport to eating that treat you deserve. I'm doing a 10km race tomorrow & have just packed a choc brownie for after the race Hth
