shred: when does it stop hurting?

I only ask because I have a British military fitness 5k event with assault course etc on Saturday. I started shredding yesterday in a last ditch attempt to build some upper body strength.

So yesterday I shredded and ran 5k. This morning coming downstairs was sore on my thighs. Have run 5k today and thighs still hurt when I walk. I intend to shred (and have a long bath) when the dcs are in bed.

Will run Wednesday. But I'm planning in shredding every day until Thursday.

Will my legs have stopped hurting by Saturday to do the major?

Can't comment on the running, but my legs stopped hurting after day 3 of shredding. Could barely walk before that though! :)

Thanks tonks. That's good to know! I look forward to pain free walking after tomorrow...

it sounds like you have DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) this is common after resistance training, as your muscles get used to the training the DOMS will tend to reduce, ie wont hurt so much or last so long
Stretching may help

This shredding sounds intriguing. How long do you spend on it per day?

its 20 mins - 3 mins strength, 2 mins cardio and 1 minute of abs all repeated 3 times.
