What are the best exercises for toning upper arms?
For general fitness I do a Davina Super Body workout and swim, but I think I need to do some daily exercise to focus on my upper arms.

I hate to say it, as they are truly a bitch and a half, but tricep dips appear to be what fitness instructors recommend.
I do body pump, just started a few weeks ago and I can see a noticeable difference which may be caused by combinations of lateral raises, bicep curls, tricep extensions and the dips. There is also a good one where you hold a fairly heavy weight above your head (5kg) and lower it down your back (if that makes sense).
I'm also finding the strength sections of the 30dayshred DVD good for arm definition.

Boxing is great for your arms, press ups and tricep dips as well. When I first started out I could only do about 10 press ups on my knees so start off gently and build it up!
They are tough though, I've been working out 5 times a week for 6 months and have only recently noticed definition in the backs of my arms!

Oh yes, press-ups are great, once you can do them! Its taken me 3 months of circuit-training twice weekly to be able to manage about 15Blush.
Then there are the press-ups that you hold half-way up.......bastards!

Swimming.

I mean proper swimming - not doggy-paddle while wearing make-up and chatting. Grin

I did some callanetics arm things yesterday.
Put your arms behind you, lift them up and try bringing them together, hold for a couple of seconds then repeat about 30 times. You must keep your arms from lowering though.
I can't half feel it in my bingos today let me tell you.
