Definitely hoping to go to this.

Report
GlassOfPort · 10/01/2017 13:27

Also hoping to make it.

OP, do you know who are the organizers?

Report
RortyCrankle · 10/01/2017 16:07

Oh gosh yes, that won't be a total waste of time at all and will make a massive difference to us leaving the EU won't it? Err, no it won't but knock yourselves out. Don't forget your banners and try not to get arrested Grin

ROLL ON BREXIT

Thanks for bumping the thread, Rorty.

RortyCrankle · 10/01/2017 16:59

You're very welcome. I'm sure many Remainers from around the country will flock to join you at this event which will, of course, achieve absolutely nothing. They have to have something to look forward to in their doom and gloom filled lives Grin

ROLL ON BREXIT

It won't do any good, its still going to happen. Make the voice heard though 41 years of shouting loud got the sceptics their way.

41 years of quiet whispers growing into a rumble due to the changes taking place across the Eu that people of the Uk had not voted for.

Turning into a loud No More Roar. Xmas Hmm The gross - EU Federalist Monolith tramping down everyone in their way - and everything it touches turning to dust with the response - " well lets have more of it",

YES Rorty - Roll on Brexit Xmas Grin roll on, roll on.

Usual high standard of commentary from the quitters, I see.

(bump...)

TopCat2017 · 10/01/2017 19:13

It won't make any difference, the people have spoken and those who wish to sell us off to the globalists have been defeated. Roll on Brexit!

Report
twofingerstoGideon · 10/01/2017 19:23

LOL at 'the people have spoken'. What next? 'Brexit means Brexit means Red, White and Blue Brexit?' Quitters do love a bit of empty rhetoric.

Report
TopCat2017 · 10/01/2017 19:32

Remoners love to moan, they can't bear the fact that the people didn't follow orders!

Report
twofingerstoGideon · 10/01/2017 19:34

Thanks for another bump Wink
I love the way quitters get their knickers in such a twist at the idea of marches and court cases etc.

Report
TopCat2017 · 10/01/2017 19:38

Neither the marches nor the court cases will stop Breixt! Teh people have spoken and Theresa, Boris, David and Liam will deliver a great deal for us.

Trump says we are at the front of the queue for a free trade deal because our relationship is very, very special.

Great that Mumsnet is going to be represented. Organised by someone from the 48% group on FB. If you are in favour of the march (or even if you're not actually) please like the FB page, tweet, share, email it out to any Europhiles.
Have never ever demoed before June 24 - always been too lazy and not an opinionated demo type of girl, but this will be my third EU march. Apart from anything it is so cathartic.
The UK has not had a good press since June 23 - the slim minority of Leave voters (and they are not representative of Leavers as a whole) fill the politics forums with EU hate -it is a "vile dictatorship" - they are "fascist bureaucrats", "twats".... I am going to say those people do not speak for me, I quite like the EU and all it has done for me and am happy to have a noisy day in London wearing a blue and yellow wig to prove it StarStarStarStarStar

Another good reason for marching is to show our EU friends and colleagues that we don't think of them as 'bargaining chips'. May seems intent on a hard brexit and is sucking up to the anti-immigrant brigade in a way that many find hard to stomach. It will be good to get out there and remind her that almost half the country voted against this and that 'the people' are far from unanimous in wanting this.

I agree Twofingers, I would also like to remind the so-called opposition that there is a large constituency of people that they are not representing.

Report
twofingerstoGideon · 11/01/2017 14:15

That's an excellent point, GlassOfPort.

Report
Kaija · 11/01/2017 18:28

Both good points. I'll be there too.
