What are you good at?

I am rubbish at sport, making friends, not good at all that girly small talk, art, anything involving fixing things. I have friends who can do all that stuff.

What I was good at at school was learning, I enjoyed critical thinking, understanding complex problems. Also worked hard. State educated. So I did well, passed loads of exams and ended up in a professional job.

Not everyone is book smart, studied to a higher level. So when I suggest that I might be 'more intelligent' than the majority of the population it is not because I think am better than most people who voted leave.

Why is that such an outrageous thing to say? To suggest that a proportion of leavers voted without understanding the issues is NOT calling them racist, xenophobes.

If you're as educated as you claim you might be familiar with the historical discourse surrounding working-class people not knowing what's good for them and needing their 'social betters' to make decisions for them. It's not generally seen as a good thing.

I got over the 'anyone who supports the opposite political stance/party to me must be an idiot' thing when I was about 14, because it's so much more complex than that. But I guess some people never do.

Hoping this is a troll, TBH.
