To lose on party leader may be misfortune
To lose 2 smacks of carelessness

What is he up to?

Just came across the news here in Aus.

Not something I expected to happen.

Last time he changed his mind after three days...

I'm laying bets on his joining the Tories to be on leadsoms negotiating team

Report
Alfieisnoisy · 04/07/2016 10:21

Yep...a nasty little man with far right leanings planning to join the Tories I suspect.

Exactly what LittlePickleHead said.

Whatever he's up to, no good can come of it

Jumped or pushed?

Oh Yippeee. He's gone. Thereby leaving the party open to reposition itself as the anti-immigration party of the disenfranchised left (and the just generally racist).

So far, the most likely outcome of this referendum is that we end up with a far-right party as part of the permanent political landscape. Which, by the way, would also have happened if Remain had won by 4%

Thanks boys.

The dozy bastard tries to incite more EU exits on his quit speech.....FFS.

Didn't he do this before, but reappeared shortly afterwards? Confused

Carswell will fuck off back to the Tories as well, if they'll have him.

Which will be emblematic of this whole farce.

Wonder what behind the scenes have gone on betwixt him and the tortes.

Hope he does go back to the tories. He'll be a nightmare for them to control. And let's face it he only spouts what most of them are probably thinking and saying behind closed doors.

Barmcakebessie · 04/07/2016 10:32

Yes..he has form for doing this occasionally. Hmm

I reckon he's going to run for Tory leader.

Report
StickyProblem · 04/07/2016 10:34

He'll either set up a new party or join the Tories and compete for PM.

Report
Floisme · 04/07/2016 10:34

If it's true then I don't think it's necessarily a good thing. Farage is the jovial, beer drinking face of ukip - they won't fold now and I bet the people behind him are even nastier.

Yes, Winter, he's resigned more times than Gove's said he's not equipped to be PM.
I don't trust anything he says, except it's all lies and very likely he'll join the Brexit advisory committee. He's not standing down as MEP (until the exit) so he still has power and attention there.

He has been very quiet hasn't he? It was very strange that he pulled out of that debate the night before the vote. I suspect someone has something on him.

Farage - "I've done my bit, can achieve no more." Twat !
