What relationship and deal do people want to see with the EU?

We have left. Pretty obvious. But we still need a relationship.

What would you like to see and what do you think will happen?

Are there any red lines for you? This is the conversation I am sure is happening in the Conservative party now. Hopefully.

I'd like us to have full membership of the EU like we do now.

That''s not going to happen. I do think we need to think about the new relationship and what people want and expect.

I keep hearing about the Australian points system but that's going to be irrelevant if you want and need people to do unskilled or low paid work and we can't get the workers.

I am a Remain, destroyed, devastated etc. So no red lines for me.

But I have a question on immigration/points.

Could we award points based on necessity for filling jobs, not necessarily "skill level"?

Reiterate: I want freedom of movement so it's an entirely theoretical musing from me.

We haven't left. We haven't even given notice and if Theresa May becomes Tory leader and Prime Minister she said she would invoke Article 50 before the end of the year.

Most points-based immigration systems are flexible to give a higher number of points for experience/qualifications in fields where there are vacancies. I don't see how such a system could work with freedom of movement though.

I would like to remain a full member of the EU (Scottish so this is a possibility)

If this is not possible then full EEA membership (though I suspect the EU might not allow us that)

As well as if you want free trade then you wont be able to get away from free movement.

Im sure government as would many love to be able to get free trade without movement as then they can continue to get away with not housebuilding and underfunding services,
