Badger in the recycling bin

....at 02.30 this morning - bold as brass outside the back door and rifling through the recycling bin. Don't know what he thought was there (just tins and paper etc) but he was having a good old root round to see. Downside is that there are now cans and paper scattered over the garden. Am off to get some peanuts for him today - oh and will definitely be putting the recycling bin out of reach.Grin

DO NOT FEED THE BADGER!

Mum and dad did this and ended up paying over £2000 to have the sett fenced in and one way gates put on it when their garden began to subside with all the digging.

They had to get a license (which I can't spell) and proper "badger people" to come in, dig up the lawn to a depth of 6' and put in chain link fencing. THis was then all buried and the lawn reseeded. It was a nightmare.

Might have to think about things then - especially as we are renting - can't see our landlord being too happy with the situation you describe. Sad

Pity as he was very handsome - Mrs Badger - you lucky thing.Grin

They are fabulous cratures but the amount of digging they managed to do was amazing. They like to dig into a bank (I think) so you might be OK to feed them small amounts every now and then. My parents were feeding them loads every night! They love peanut butter sandwiches as an occasional treat BTW.

They also dig up the lawn looking for grubs but they'll do this whether you feed them or not.
