Work

How do you decide what to do with your career?

Right, I started on one career path initially which totally did not work out, so I kind of ended up in another and have been in this job for nearly three years now. It's a good job, but it's quite frustrating at times and I feel my heart isn't in it, so I don't feel that motivated. I don't really know where I want my career to go or what I want to do (which is annoying after being driven for so many years).

How can I get more motivation to do stuff at work? How can I find out what other options are available to me? I know it's a bit unrealistic to look for a new job right now, I just feel so, erm, bleh about work at the moment it's doing my head in.

look here careershisfters.org Loads of advice etc. I am working on my third career change at the minute. I ended up somewhere I didn't want to be and was miserable. Some people can just go to work and go home and let it all wash over them - I can't!

Thanks for the advice!

I'm the same. Sometimes I can just go home and forget, but most of the time I can't and carry some of the stress of work (not the work itself, but the situation) home with me. Not good.
