Started a new job in May. All going really well so far. I'm busting a gut for them but really enjoying it.

I've had to take today off as my nanny is ill and DH had meetings in another city that he couldn't cancel. My boss didn't sound impressed when I explained. Feeling slightly pissed off, actually. What else am I supposed to do? My mum is having kids for the rest of the week, so it's only a day I am missing....

at least it's not a Friday or Monday, probably that would really sound suspicious. Don't worry enjoy today and work really hard (for a bit!) when you get back...
