...I have received some great advice in here in the past and need to burden you once more.
I am a trainee solicitor and I complete my training on the 2nd June. My fixed term contract ends on that day (as it's my training contract) but I will have left 2 months before to have my baby.
I don't think this firm will keep me on, they are letting people go at the moment and I haven't really enjoyed being here and haven't performed thanks to various circumstances (should have stuck with the last firm !!).
Anyway, my question is, if you please, if they don't offer me a full contract at the end of my training contract, what happens to my pay? I am not entitled to any enhanced maternity package, just your standard SMP and OMP....so just wondering if they could stop paying me at all, or does it come from the government at that point anyway?
EDD 6th May and end of contract 2nd June.
Many thanks for your time.
