Hi
I am not really sure if I have posted this in the right place but however I am currently ttc and my job requires alot of lifting and exertion. I have become quite paranoid about the lifting aspect of my job with regards to the fact I am ttc.
I have concerns that if I have concieved and I am not yet aware of it that it will be dangerous but I really don,t know what I can do about this.
I don,t know what I expect from posting this on here but perhaps somebody can lay my fears to rest about this maybe somebody has been in a similar situation and it hasn,t caused them any problems lifting in early pregnancy.
I of course have not told anybody at work I am ttc and wouldn,t want to.
Please can anybody put my mind at rest about this as I am worrying myself silly about it but I am a bit of a loon anyway.
Is it dangerous to lift in the very early stages of pregnancy.

I'm no expert but I'm fairly sure you don't need to be panicky about lifting things while you are ttc, it's only if you are pregnant.

Difficult to say without knowing how heavy but I think if you are using proper techniques and equipment, it's not such a problem, although I think you mustn't lift anything above your head.

As soon as you know you are pregnant, if you are concerned, tell your manager immediately and make sure a risk assessment is completed. All pregnant women must have these to work out whether there's any aspect of their job that might present additional risk, and to make adjustments.
