DH is totally fed up with his company. His job has changed a lot in the last 2 years and he has had no formal recognition for this in terms of changes to his job title, contract or remuneration.
He wants to start looking for a new job and whilst I obviously don't want him to be miserable at work but I am a SAHM so his is the only income and I am worried that now could be a rubbish time for him to change his employment in terms of the way they economy is going, the fact we are expecting another baby after Christmas and our fixed rate mortgage deal is up in May. He does a fairly lowly IT job for a travel company and I know he could earn more money elsewhere but he has been with his current employer for almost 6 years so even if he was made redundant from there this job he would get some redundancy pay even if it was the legal minimum.
Am I right to be cautious or am I being paranoid?
