TTO post in school - what % pro rata applies? Do you get paid hols?

Do you have a TTO job in schools?

If a job is advertised as TTO pro rata of salary, what % do you get?

i.e. if you work 39 weeks of the year (school days + INSET), do you get 39/52 of the full salary? Or do you get - say - 4 weeks paid hols, i.e. 43/52?

How is it calculated?

I'm a bit rusty on TTO only contracts. I think it can be worked out both ways. In fact I'm pretty sure both ways are used where I work, depending on whether the person is allowed to take additional holidays to the school holidays. I am pretty sure that if it is a school post it is 39/52 but I'm sure someone will come along and prove me wrong!

It is worked out proportionately and I'm sure you already know that you'll get a little more than the 39/52 or whatever fraction is used because of the tax allowances. For example I work exactly half time and get more than half the salary.

Thanks llareggub
Does anyone else have a TTO contract?

I'm looking at a job on a higher scale than my current one. But currently I get 100% of salary even though I only work 32.5 hrs/wk and 39 wks/year.

New job will be 37 hrs/wk, and obviously more responsibility, but only TTO salary. But I need to know the percentages so I can do the maths to work out if I get any more cash!

I'm not sure what TTO stands for but it could be 37 hours over 52 weeks :/

You shoud get holidya pay added, so 39working + 4 holiday divided by 52 weeks.

thanks titchy - that makes sense to me.
do you have a TTO contract?

Juneybean - TTO is "term time only"

Wish I did! I do have an annual hours contract though, so I am paid for 840 hours a year and get paid for 92 hours a year holiday.
