i want to book a holiday for mid-june, which is the only time it will be possible for both me and dh. in the last couple of weeks two people off my team have been sacked. this leaves just three of us and a massive backlog. can my employer refuse holiday because of this? any advice gratefully receive

luminar your employer can refuse holiday without having to give a reason I'm afraid, they're under no obligation other than to make sure you have the opportunity to take your full entitlement, but they can dictate when you take it if they want to.
