I've been battling with my employer for 14 months as they refused my flexible working request. I've had fantastic support from my union rep, and for the last 6 months from a caseworker assigned from the regional office. Just as we were about to go to Employment Tribunal my employers have backed down and allowed me to have the work pattern I had requested. I'm now back at work, and really want to buy something to thank the caseworker and rep without whom I'd be out of a job. I don't know them personally so difficult to buy them thoughtful, but I didn't just want to send flowers or get something like a box of chocs - anyone got any ideas of anything that might express my sincere gratitude? I am planning to write to both to thank them too.
