Tried googling and asking Antenatal club - seems like no-body know. Got one this Friday and don't have a clue what to expect...???

It will be about communicating and understanding, comprehension of written instructions possibly, something like that. It will depend on which test it is (there are lots that different testing companies 'sell' to organisations who use them for recruitment), what the job is, etc

Can you ring the company, HR dept or whoever, say you haven't done one of these tests before and could they give you some guidance as to what you can expect.

I'm sure someone will be happy to explain it to you.

Don't panic, Amani, they are usually fairly straightforward. The questions tend to start out easy but are designed to get progressively harder so you get to a point where only a competent linguist could answer correctly, so don't worry when you start not having a clue - they're just designed that way.

If you want to find out more google using the words 'aptitude testing' and 'verbal reasoning'

to kick you off I have found some good links here and an example here
