Work

Can I please have a little boast?

Where I work (holiday cottage booking centre) they have this incredibly complicated points-mean-prizes system based on all kinds of weird stats.

Every month the best performers get a Congrats balloon and a £10 voucher, and I've had 2 of them so far last quarter - I found out today that I have won the quarterly prize in our section

(I get to have lunch in the boardroom with the MD, the 2 other section winners and various manager people - there is champagne but I'll have to do a 6-hour shift on the phone afterwards so will not be able to appreciate it )

Anyway I don't usually win anything, let alone by my own efforts, so I'm dead chuffed, so please excuse brag

I think so, we'll have to figure it out, as I am a non-driver and DH will be halfway up the nearest hill!

That IS brilliant WW but I have to say, lunch with the MD and champagne you can't enjoy? Is that their idea of a prize? You deserve swanky lunch with your mates and an afternoon off, I say.

Brag thoroughly excused though.

THis from Friday for a week, DG - sleeps 12, but over 2 grand! (Could you find 6 more people, would seem quite cheap then?)

(In fact it is empty Thurs too, if you would be interested ring up, we could ring the owner and ask if you could get in a day early)

I wish we could go to Cornwall, it was just wistful thinking. I can see why you got your prize... I clearly wouldn't with my attitude.
