Any experience of working with a narcissist?

I'm struggling with someone at work, who really does fit the bill on this definition, and who is making my life a misery as I won't play their game. My boss just enables her, which further marginalises me and the situation is making me stressed. Have any of you been through this and come out the other side?

I'm currently in a similar situation - and am in the process of writing my resignation Sad

Why is your boss enabling the "narcissist" and not you? Surely marginalising you has a demonstrable impact on your productivity, which you ought to be pointing out every single time to your boss. With a paper trail, you can escalate it to a grievance, which your manager will have to address.

Another thing to do alonside the above is to look for another job. If your manager won't manage, s/he deserves to lose you and be left with the narcissist (who "may" Grin continue causing problems...)

Wearegoingtobedlehem I'm sorry to hear that, it's rough isn't it? I hope that you are going on to something better. Flowers

pluck the narcissist is very skilled at getting people onside. My boss has disappointed me enourmously, and so I am looking hard for another job. My problem is that this situation has warn me down, and I think I am somewhat shopsoiled.
