try the mumsnet one - tell us what you have done and what you like and what you want and we will all throw our random opinions at you.

Believe it or not helped a lot in the past and clarifying my own thoughts.

That's really kind of you! However, I'm not really sure WHAT I like, so I don't think random comments is going to be enough for me! Think it will have to be someone who can take me back to basics.

did you go to uni?

I know that some run a careers advisor service for anyone who attended taht uni - even some do it by phone or email

Have you looked at the book 'What Colour is My [or is it your?] Parachute?'

Hi drifter- I work as a Careers Adviser in HE!
You could try Prospects planner- on prospects.ac.uk (have tried to put a link in & didn't appear to work- sorry)

there is a programme called "Adult Directions" you could try. Your local Connexions service may have it on a computer that you could use. Or there's another called Windmills Programme, if you google it!

Hope this helps

I have a friend who is a work place psychologist (I think that's what I'd call her) but she does all that kind of stuff. If you email me, I could pass on her details to you. cadbury 73 at hotmail dot com
