Job-share rivallry?

I don't want this to be seen by anyone who knows me so please excuse the name change and that some of this needs to be quite candid.

I have been jobsharing(3/5) for the past 6 years and for the last 18months with someone different(X-a student) It works better with X as occaisionally we can swap days (if I want to go to kids stuff etc/if she has exams etc).I thought we were quite friendly (despite the fact we don't see each other very often) but for the past few months(possibly longer) she has been undermining me,I have heard things that have happened and she hasn't told me and I always try to keep her updated.
In the last few weeks there have been significant problems in my job and I have had to make decisions that are officially my line managers(he is cr*p) and I'm getting very stressed about it .

I only have 18months left in this role and possibly could side-step in Sept if my jobshare took our job full time but what I want is a similar role but floating (and would have to be created for me ).
Is it worth talking to my senior manager about this and asking about a move, but if my job-share can't take it on I'm stuck anyway.

6 years in a job share is pretty good. in my experience they are notoursly hard to do.. friendships tend to go out of the window... have you a handover time, or a message book?

Message book.and we text/phone(in our own time)Any meeting we have one of us has to come in on days off although the meeting is in our own time anyway.

Don't know how much is me wanting a change anyway, wanted to go last year but there is noone to take over from me until job share finishes Uni and she may move on then anyway.

think you have to rise above it, realise that these things happen .. and look after number one
