I returned to work after mat leave Jan 2014 dc3 was 7 months. I returned to the same part time role, same hours/days in clinic I have worked in (plus odd days in other local clinics) for the last 10 years apart from previous mat leaves.

Work acquired new clinic in same street and my reception staff were made redundant and I was redeployed to new clinic. After my first week there was asked to change my working hours/days/pattern which I had no choice really to do though stated when they recruited another member of staff I would prefer to return to my previous hours/days. Three months later new recruit started and I was asked to change my working pattern again. I made it clear that i could not change immediately (I.e asked could it start from next working week!!) as my CM had no space for my dc on one of the changed days.

All quiet until last week when a graduate arrives to shadow me for a few weeks and my diary is changed with my days yet again changed with new graduate on the other days. She is also working in another clinic 30 miles away and this restricts what days she can work here.

So...I ring my boss to ask about this change to be told 'he didn't think I'd mind, I only work part time so shy can't I change or I could work in the clinic 30 miles away if I'd prefer to keep the same days?'

I am struggling with how to respond, I don't want to change my working pattern/days again, have already paid for childcare for October so would rely on my CM taking pity on me and honouring the change (her contract states 4 weeks notice of change) I am unble to work in clinic further away. I'm not sure I will get anywhere I'm just so upset!
